This was the honor and pride of not only the locals but also all ethnic groups of Quang Ninh province, the Northeast sea and islands and Vietnam’s waters. The President Ho Chi Minh memorial site on Co To island was built in 1968 and recognized as a national monument in 1997. Over the years, after many times of embellishing, upgrading and expanding, the work still retains the original cultural and historical values.
