Salt field relic site
Salt field is located in Zone 1, Co To town (formerly Hong Van village), 1km from the Memorial house to the right. The salt field is a flat valley surrounded by hills and mountains, with gateways to the sea. The zoned area of the relic is approximately 38,000m2. Previously, on the salt field, there were several concrete pillars fitted with propellers, each spaced 50m apart, and a warehouse for storing finished salt. Currently, the propellers have been broken, only the concrete pillars remain. It was the place where Uncle Ho visited and turned the propellers. The salt warehouse was 2m high, built of cobblestone. Now, the entire upper part has been broken, only the foundation remains. Currently, the salt field is no longer used, the land is gradually accreted, making it difficult for the sea water to enter the field.
